Directions for Use
MedGel products are available in the form of a gel or as gel sheets with various diameters.
The silicone gel sheets are recommended for the treatment of deeper, more persistent scars. They are water repellent, gas permeable and self-adherent on one side. Depending on the position of the affected area, an additional fixation of the sheet with a dressing can be necessary. The sheets, that can be cleaned and therefore re-used several times, should be applied for at least 12 hours per day.

The silicone gel is mainly used when the application of a gel sheet is difficult or not tolerated by the patient, like e.g. over joints and on the face. When exposed to oxygen, it forms a long-term elastic film. On top of the dried, transparent film make-up can be applied. This makes the gel an ideal product for facial use. The gel should be applied twice a day in a thin layer.

For a successful therapy it is crucial to motivate patients to regularly use MedGel products over several weeks or months
